Hello dear people!
There is a lot of people out there who dream of being able to draw, but somehow we grow up thinking that we have no REAL talent. If you have no talent (which is clearly the only thing required to be a great artist) why waste your time on drawing??
This year has been all about challenging myself and trying new things.
I gave myself a green light to try out the things I’ve always dreamt about.
As a result, my curly projects came into existence.
Drawing and sewing were two things I’ve always wanted to try!
There is plenty of patterns and tutorials that you can learn sewing from. Not to mention a tone of great books. Every project teaches you something new and somehow, you keep growing.
What about drawing?
I felt so lost while trying to learn.
Should I learn to draw faces now? Two point perspective? Perhaps the human form now? Ohhh.. So many things to learn!
Then I found one book with an interesting title.
Sounds like fun, doesn’t it? 🙂
The book is divided into 30 lessons. Each covering a fundamental principle of drawing. They build upon each other and hopefully, after 30 days you are ready to start exploring the infinite possibilities of drawing as an independent artist.
I made a promise to myself that I shall complete this drawing course this November. I will draw every day and get through it. Hopefully, I will document my journey with this book faithfully here.
30 Days Drawing Challenge – Day 1
This is the effect of the first lesson. The Sphere. I loved it that we first learned about the sphere, light sources, shading and immediately jumped into using what we’ve learned. The author recommended drawing an apple, so here it is…
Stay tuned if you want to see what the second lesson is all about!
Perhaps you would like to complete the challenge with me? 🙂
Please keep your fingers crossed for me, guys!
