Hello dear reader,
If you are anything like me, you probably have a whole list of future projects you can’t wait to sew, whole stacks of fabrics just waiting to be magically turned into dresses, blouses, and trousers. The only thing you need to get to them is time…. More time! But there never is more time, is there? So you end up asking yourself “what can I do to sew faster?”.
“Is there some technique I haven’t heard about? Some trick I haven’t seen yet? Some book that will turn me into a sewing wizard?”
Well… You are in the right place to find the answer to your questions!
At some point, I remember frantically asking myself the same question. I wanted to sew like a pro and I wanted my projects to get done faster. Luckily for me, there actually is a class called “Sew better, sew faster” on Bluprint and I am eternally grateful to google for finding it for me!
The class does exactly what it promises. It teaches you to sew way better and way faster. It helped me tackle some of the most problematic areas in sewing: zippers and bound buttonholes. I never thought I would say this, but honestly, I am not scared of any zipper application anymore! Not to mention that my zippers are straighter than they’ve ever been. 😀
This class is worth every penny I’ve got, for one thing especially. It taught me how to sew without pins.
You’ve heard me right. Sewing Without Pins. No pins, zero! It’s ok, take a moment to breathe. 🙂 When doing the course for the first time, I actually had to pause in the middle of the tutorial, take out some fabric and sew a few things just to believe it works, so I understand your skepticism.
I won’t tell you how it’s done, but trust me, this technique makes sewing not only more pleasant (bye, bye pinpricks!) and faster, but also more accurate. My seams have never been straighter!
You can find the class on Bluprint. It is a paid platform and I hope you’re not thinking that I am trying to push some paid crap at you. My blog is completely free and I share things that worked out for me, in hopes that my tips might help you too.
I am completely IN LOVE with Bluprint – it is a crafty mecca of the Internet! You pay a monthly fee and you can watch as many classes as you want, on topics ranging from baking to knitting. I can’t think of any crafty subject that isn’t covered there.
I also pay a membership fee for Skillshare, but if you love sewing, Bluprint is the place for you. Personally, I am really looking forward to learning how to sew corsets, lingerie and swimsuits and all those topics (and more) are covered there.
Before we finish up here, have a look at the first projects I’ve made without pins!

I hope you will join me on Bluprint platform and take your sewing skills to the next level. You can also connect with me on Instagram and share some of your sewing projects! I would be happy to see what you’ve made!

With lots of love,

Precioso me ha gustado todo, gracias por todo lo que explicas.
